Nagyon szép hely! Kedvesen fogadtak minden érdeklődőt. Hatalmas a kastély és a kert is, kellemesen el lehet tölteni az időt.

Very disappointing that a local country estate owner does not allow dogs on his Manner.

Visited the Christmas Market. It was glorious! The best £11 I've spent in a long time! The £11 gets you your parking (a short walk from the house) and entry into the market and house and grounds. There are some outdoor stalls and some in the courtyard but many are either inside the beautiful house itself or in marquees. Brilliant if the weather is being unkind! There are some cake/cookie stalls, some coffee vans, a couple of gin etc stalls and a couple of hot food stalls. The rest are good quality, diverse Christmas goods. The house and grounds are done up beautifully, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff around the house and in the car park are super friendly. We spent two hours there. We had chosen an afternoon slot and next year we shall go later in the afternoon to be able to appreciate the lights more. This is possibly the best Christmas market to visit in the area - in my opinion.

Visited during the Xmas market. Fantastic setting. Will go back to see more of the hall and it's history.

What a fabulous walk through time. We did the afternoon tea folliwed by night time tour at Xmas- it was excellent. We are going back for a fuller visit in the day as theres obviously loads more to see. One of the best historic houses we've visited- and we've seen quite a few. Staff were excellent and knowledgeable as well.

Lovely Christmas market and not overcommercialised even though it's quite the film venue. Market gives access to Hall too so you can appreciate the property's architecture as you shop.

Very lovely building. I went during a Christmas event and it was very sweet, lots of little stools with unique items for sale, lots of jewellery. Also lots of food stools, I had a steak burger, so good. The building is very cool, I would like to revisit when less people are about so I can take pictures and really enjoy the buildings aesthetics.

Interesting historical property. Our visit was spoiled by a totally useless, rambling and uninformed tour guide

I enjoyed my visit to Haddon Hall but I wish there had been more fires than just the one in the main hall . Understandably the doors were all open so people could wander into the gardens and courtyards but as it was a very cold day a little warmth would have been very welcome . We decided to visit the restaurant for a hot drink but it was full so we had to cut short our visit to find somewhere else .

We did the artisan markets, they were brilliant both inside and outside. Great crafts no tat. Great just to visit the hall, Tudor wonder.

There was not much to see, so did not at all seem worth the £27 entrance fee, for such a short visit. The hall itself has very little to view, and there are not many signposts explaining what items are. I think the price of the enterance fee is so high for how little there is to see (you would probably spend no more than half an hour looking around) and if you have travelled this far you are better off going to Chatsworth. It is a shame as I think if there was simply more signposting explaining the history of the hall (I still don’t know who owned it!) then that would have made it a more enjoyable experience, as otherwise you are left to your own devices to look around what is a couple of small spaces, with very minimal furnishings. For example, despite paying £27 to visit, nowhere was it indicated that any TV series/films were filmed at the hall or in the area, I have only learnt this from other reviews. The rooms that are well furnished again have no signs explaining anything, or those signs are inconsistent, which again makes the place feel very thrown together and cheap - some signs have small writing so you have to squint to read. Those that have no signs mean you are just staring blankly, there was also an empty box on display, and these shovels pictured below with no explanation. I also think the “restaurant” is a bit outdated (which is fine on its own, but less so when taking into account the price of the tickets and the overall experience) and I don’t understand why the fee is so high to visit (excluding the additional parking charge!) when there are issues such as these. it is a shame as I think the grounds are beautiful, and I do imagine that with markets there is it lovely, but if you are paying to visit just the hall it is really not worth the money, until these simple things are resolved. There needs to more emphasis on the history of the hall.
